Support to the Higher Education sector by the Frederick Soddy Trust:
University Expeditions
Many university expeditions studying the whole life (including human
geography: the
social and or economic aspects) of an area have received the Trust's
support.
The fieldwork can be in the UK or abroad. The full requirements
for those seeking support are shown on the

The Postgraduate Fieldwork grant
The Frederick Soddy Trust has arranged through the Royal Geographical
Society (IBG) an award of
up to a total of £6,000 a year for each of the three years (2010, 2011
and 2012).
This award is administered by the Royal Geographical Society and
may be applied for by postgraduates either individually or working as
a group. Eligibility and the application process can be found at

Other support to establishments of Higher Education and learned
societies
The Trust has supported universities in various ways including
financial help over publications and the assembling of geographical
information where the projects lie within the charitable objectives of
the Trust.
